Description of Oecobius cellariorum

Physical Characteristics

Female 2.5 to 3 mm.
Abdomen light grey with a narrow dark cardiac mark and a pattern of small dark spots.
Carapace pale beige with a faint dark pattern in the centre.
Legs pale beige with faint dark annulations.
Palps pale beige.

Male 2 to 2.5 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

Dry, warm areas under stones. Up to the north mainly on and in buildings.

Distribution

Occurs in the Mediterranean area and Eastern Europe.

Period

The portrayed specimen has been found in June. No further information about the period is known.
