Description of Euophrys rufibarbis

Physical Characteristics

Female 3.5 to 5 mm.
Abdomen grey-brown with black spots.
Carapace grey-brown. Below the anterior eyes yellow haired and eyes surrounded with pale red.
Legs light brown with dark annulations.
Palps light brown.

Male 3 to 4.5 mm.
Abdomen reddish brown with black spots.
Carapace reddish brown with a darker surface on top. Area below the eyes bright red haired. Chelicerae also red.
Legs light brown with black-brown annulations. Femora dark brown. Pair of legs I almost black-brown and thickened.
Palps yellow-brown.

Habitat

On dry, rocky places with little vegetation and on houses.
