Description of Larinia lineata

Physical Characteristics

Female 6 to 10 mm.
pale with a darker area with orange longitudinal stripes.
Carapace pale with an orange-brown median band and dark radial stripes. With scattered white hairs.
Legs pale, downwards with some faint dark annulations.
Palps pale.

Male 4 to 6 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

The portrayed specimen has been found below trees on a riverbank. No further information about the habitat is known.

Distribution

In Europe, only in France, Corsica, Spain and Portugal.
