Description of Ozyptila praticola

Physical Characteristics

Female 3 to 5 mm.
Abdomen brown with a pattern of light and dark spots and stripes.
Carapace dark brown with light stripes and spots and a rearwardly tapering light median band.
Legs light brown with dark annulations and spots.
Palps light-dark annulated.

Male 2.5 to 3 mm.
Resembles the female but is much darker and less clearly patterned.

Habitat

In not too dry environments, like gardens and forests, between rocks and low vegetation.

Distribution

Common in the whole of Europe.

Period

Almost all year.
