Description of Porrhoclubiona leucaspis

Physical Characteristics

Female 4 to 5 mm.
Abdomen yellow-brown with a narrow, dark brown cardiac mark and a dark brown area at the rear containing a round, light yellow-brown spot.
Carapace dark brown with almost black chelicerae.
Legs and palps light brown.

Male 3.5 to 4 mm.
Markings almost identical to the female, but darker coloured.

Habitat

Mainly in fruit orchards.

Distribution

Occurs in Western and Central Europe, but not common.

Period

The portrayed specimen has been found in June. No further information about the period is known.
