Description of Trachyzelotes pedestris (Yellow-legged zipper)

Physical Characteristics

Female 7 to 9 mm.
Abdomen black-brown.
Carapace black-brown.
Legs brown with black-brown femora.
Palps black-brown

Male 4.5 to 6 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female. Tarsi of the palps are brown.

Habitat

On sand and rocks in warm areas with little vegetation.

Distribution

Common in the whole of Europe.

Period

Spring, summer and autumn.
