Description of Cheiracanthium virescens

Physical Characteristics

Female 5 to 9 mm.
Abdomen green to brown with a slightly darker, not always clear, cardiac mark.
Carapace yellow brown without markings. Chelicerae dark brown in adult animals.
Legs and palps yellow-brown.

Male 5 to 7 mm.
Markings en colours almost identical to the female, sometimes darker.

Habitat

In low plants and under stones in dry, sandy areas.

Distribution

Occurs in the whole of Europe, but quite rare.

Period

Spring and summer. Females until autumn.
