Description of Coelotes terrestris

Physical Characteristics

Female 9 to 13 mm.
Abdomen dark brown to dark grey-brown with lighter chevrons.
Carapace dark brown with a darker head.
Legs and palps dark brown.

Male 7 tot 10 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

In not too dry forest areas under stones and in burrows.

Distribution

Common in large parts of Europe.

Period

Spring and autumn.
