Description of Callobius claustrarius

Physical Characteristics

Female 9 to 12 mm.
Abdomen grey-brown with coarse, light brown chevrons.
Carapace reddish brown with darker front.
Legs and palps orange-brown.

Male 6 to 8 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

In forests and under stones. Mainly in mountain areas.

Distribution

Occurs in large parts of Europe.

Period

Autumn, winter and spring.
