Description of Aulonia albimana

Physical Characteristics

Female 4 to 4.5 mm.
Abdomen dark brown, anteriorly with a thin white median band and white dots posteriorly.
Carapace black brown with a thin white band along the edge and a small white stripe or spot on top.
Legs light brown to brown with black-brown femora on pair of legs I.
Palps black-brown with white patellae.

Male 3.5 to 4 mm.
Markings almost identical to the female, but abdomen darker

Habitat

Sunny, dry places in grass or between stones.

Distribution

Common in almost the whole of Europe.

Period

Summer and autumn.
