Description of Nurscia sequerai

Physical Characteristics

Female 8 mm.
Abdomen black-brown with a, in (sun) light clear, metallic shine, two white spots on the front and two to three pairs of white dots on top.
Carapace black brown with a, in (sun) light clear, metallic shine.
Legs and palps black brown with light annulations and a distinctive, predominantly blue, metallic shine on mainly the femora.

Male 8 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

Under stones and on gravel banks.

Distribution

France, Spain and Portugal.

Period

The portrayed specimens have been found in June. No further information about the period is known.
