Description of Ero aphana

Physical Characteristics

Female 3 to 4.5 mm.
Abdomen with four lumps. Colour yellow-brown or reddish with whitish spots and stripes.
Carapace yellow-brown with a very thin dark brown median band, a dark pattern with two shoots in the area around the eyes and a dark brown band along the edge.
Legs and palps clearly light-dark annulated.

Male 2 to 3 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

Shrubs and trees, but sometimes also in houses.

Distribution

Occurs in the whole of Europe, most common in the south.

Period

Almost all year.
