Description of Pardosa wagleri

Physical Characteristics

Female 6 to 8 mm.
Abdomen grey with lighter spots.
Carapace grey without markings.
Legs light-dark annulated and remarkably long and slender.
Palps light-dark annulated.

Male 5 to 6 mm.
Almost the same as the female, but darker base color and with more contrast.

Habitat

Mainly on gravel banks of streams and rivers. Up to 1,400 m.

Distribution

Occurs in Central and Southern Europe. In appropriate places fairly common.

Period

Spring and summer.
