Description of Clubiona trivialis (Northern sac spider)

Physical Characteristics

Female 4 to 6 mm.
Abdomen shiny light brown to reddish brown without markings. Sometimes a very faint cardiac mark.
Carapace shiny light yellow-brown to reddish brown without markings. Chelicerae reddish.
Legs and palps shiny light yellow-brown to light brown.

Male 3.5 to 5 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

In various areas on low vegetation and between stones. Up to 2,500 m.

Distribution

Common in almost the whole of Europe.

Period

All year.
