Description of Drassyllus praeficus

Physical Characteristics

Female 5 to 8 mm.
Abdomen black-brown.
Carapace black-brown.
Legs black-brown with slightly lighter metatarsi and light brown tarsi.
Palps black.

Male 5 to 7 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

Dry and open areas, e.g. vineyards and hillsides.

Distribution

Occurs in the whole of Europe, but not common.

Period

Spring and summer.
