Description of Pardosa blanda

Physical Characteristics

Female 7 mm.
Abdomen black-brown with a brown median band, a black and white outlined cardiac mark and white chevrons flanked by two rows of white spots.
Carapace black-brown with a thin white median band and two thin white bands along the side.
Legs and palps clearly annulated.

Male 5 to 6 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female.

Habitat

Sunny, open areas and meadows. In the mountains between 1000 and 3000 m.

Distribution

Occurs in Central and southern Europe.

Period

Spring and summer.
