Description of Pardosa saltans

Physical Characteristics

Female 5 to 6 mm.
Abdomen dark brown with light brown spots and a larger light brown spot on the front.
Carapace dark brown with a light brown median band and a thin band around.
Legs and palps light-dark annulated.

Male 4 to 5 mm.
Abdomen black-brown with white and light brown spots and a larger white spot on the front.
Carapace black with a white median band.
Legs brown with black femora and coxae.
Palps black.

Habitat

Mainly forests.

Distribution

Common in the whole of Europe.

Period

Spring, summer and autumn.
