Female 2 to 3 mm.
orange with three dark (red) brown longitudinal stripes. Sometimes several chevrons at the rear.
light beige with black areas around the eyes and thin black stripe along the edge.
Legs light beige with thin dark annulations. Pair of legs of to dark brown to black.
Male 2 to 3 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female. dark brown to black with light beige and .
In hot, dry areas under rocks and among low plants.
Occurs in the Mediterranean area. Up to the north as far as Germany and Belgium, but rare.
The portrayed specimen has been found in June. No further information about the period is known.
