Description of Salticus iteacus

Physical Characteristics

Female 3.5 to 4.5 mm.
Abdomen brown to black with two white cross bands and a white back with faint brown chevrons.
Carapace black with two short white cross bands and a broad white band along the edge.
Legs brownish with white hairs and dark annulations.
Palps white.

Male 3.5 to 4 mm.
Markings and colours almost identical to the female. Abdomen with three white cross bands and dark rear.

Habitat

The portrayed specimen has been found on a leaf of a palm-like plant. No further information about the habitat is known.

Distribution

Greece.

The portrayed specimen has been found in June. No further information about the period is known.
